A landscape about movement, color, and the feeling of something having passed through.
This painting began with a green ground and has developed slowly through layers of color. As I work, I’m thinking about animals moving through the landscape and the traces of their presence, with hints of flowers appearing throughout. I’m painting from a sense of a place rather than a particular view—a feeling of movement, memory, and life.
